We are Neet and Wendy and we would like to welcome you to our fortnightly challenge, ‘Artful Times’, where we are offering a variety of challenges to inspire you to create in whichever style or medium of crafting you enjoy. You never know, we might even inspire you to create something out of your comfort zone and try out something new.

Yes like all challenge sites we have rules and guidelines. We hope you will read and follow them, we have Oyster Stamps as our sponsor, and of course, a winner and runner up will be chosen each month. We may also have the occasional guest designer.

Challenge 69 - A Tryptich

Yes that is what we want you to make this Challenge - a Triptych!  If you go to Pinterest you will see lots of different ideas on how to do a tryptich - some are split pictures, some are three joined sections - but as what they are there are some beauties out there.

So can you make yours be one of them?  Course you can - and with the Christmas Season coming along for those who celebrate it what better way of making a special card for someone you love than doing a "three-in-one" one.

Neet did one with some pictures she had and knowing there had to be some rubber stamping somewhere she used a script stamp for the backgrounds.   The cover is decorated with diecut shapes and there is a garter of lace to hold it closed.

Please please please read the Rules and Guidelines at the top of our blog.

Now what has Wendy done for us?  Look no further

Remembering my brother.

We would love you to join in with your versions.

Winner Challenges 66 & 67

Well, we did get more entries than we have had for the past few weeks but sorry there are no prizes at the moment.  Nontheless there are Blinkies for the winner and the runner up to display proudly on their blogs.

You will probably remember that Challenge 66 was for something Green and Challenge 67 was to do with Poppies.  We have certainly had lots of reminders about Poppies here in the UK over the past few weeks and this Sunday TV is showing "War Horse" which is a very moving film.  If you haven't already seen it make sure you have some tissues with you for viewing.

Sorry - without further delay I will announce our Winner who is ...

Jan Morris

It really was a hard decision as all the entries were so very special but what swung this one was the honeycomb used in the background which echoed that in the image.

Our runner up was none other than

Mrs A who treated us to an underwater scene

If both ladies will contact Neet she will send you your Blinkies and then you can display them on your blog.  Well done everyone - every one of you is a winner really.

Winners 64 & 65

A thousand apologies and a Big Thank You to Craftyfield for pointing out that I had missed choosing the winner and runner up for our challenges Arches and a Little Book.  The funny thing is I remember doing it, I remember the post, but can I find it anywhere, in draft even - no!  In fact this morning I was clearing out my folders and I deleted the two pictures so I know I did it; did I press the wrong button?

So without further ado the winner for these challenges is CraftyCreations for her little book.  If you go along to her blog you can read a technique that she used for making her Kraft card look and feel like leather.  Here it is:

I must try this!

Our runner up is, in fact, the lovely lady who reminded me that I had missed this announcement, Craftyfield, and she used a card with an arch cut out for the aperture.  Behind is a beautiful scene which she has created with her Stampscapes rubber stamps.  I am rather in awe of this delightful card as I have not had success with the stamps I have for doing scenes like this.  Thank you for the lovely detailed description of how you did it too.

Apologies once again, Wendy is now settled into her new home so hopefully she can help with the admin and stop me going off again.

Well done to all our ladies.

Challenge 68 Use some part of a newspaper, book, magazine

The actual description of the Challenge chosen by Wendy is to "Use Some Part of a Newspaper, Book or Magazine to Make Anything You Like or to Use on a Project".  We are hoping that gives you lots of scope for joining in with us these next two weeks.

It was lovely to see the Poppy entries, and such a variation too, it just shows what beautiful poppy stamps there are out there and how the spirit of the celebrations this year have inspired people to make poppies to wear.  Thank you ladies.

Well, back to using something as outlined above in this new challenge.  Here is Wendy's vintage tag:

and Neet's Parisian tag:

We would love you to join in with us using some print as outlined above - you have two weeks .... hope we see you around.
