We are Neet and Wendy and we would like to welcome you to our fortnightly challenge, ‘Artful Times’, where we are offering a variety of challenges to inspire you to create in whichever style or medium of crafting you enjoy. You never know, we might even inspire you to create something out of your comfort zone and try out something new.

Yes like all challenge sites we have rules and guidelines. We hope you will read and follow them, we have Oyster Stamps as our sponsor, and of course, a winner and runner up will be chosen each month. We may also have the occasional guest designer.

Winners 64 & 65

A thousand apologies and a Big Thank You to Craftyfield for pointing out that I had missed choosing the winner and runner up for our challenges Arches and a Little Book.  The funny thing is I remember doing it, I remember the post, but can I find it anywhere, in draft even - no!  In fact this morning I was clearing out my folders and I deleted the two pictures so I know I did it; did I press the wrong button?

So without further ado the winner for these challenges is CraftyCreations for her little book.  If you go along to her blog you can read a technique that she used for making her Kraft card look and feel like leather.  Here it is:

I must try this!

Our runner up is, in fact, the lovely lady who reminded me that I had missed this announcement, Craftyfield, and she used a card with an arch cut out for the aperture.  Behind is a beautiful scene which she has created with her Stampscapes rubber stamps.  I am rather in awe of this delightful card as I have not had success with the stamps I have for doing scenes like this.  Thank you for the lovely detailed description of how you did it too.

Apologies once again, Wendy is now settled into her new home so hopefully she can help with the admin and stop me going off again.

Well done to all our ladies.

Yippee I've made runner up! Must be beginner's luck with the Stampscapes LOL. I thoroughly enjoy playing with those stamps though, you shouldn't give up Neet!

Congrats to the other Crafty lady, her leather effect cover is really beautiful and effective.
