We are Neet and Wendy and we would like to welcome you to our fortnightly challenge, ‘Artful Times’, where we are offering a variety of challenges to inspire you to create in whichever style or medium of crafting you enjoy. You never know, we might even inspire you to create something out of your comfort zone and try out something new.

Yes like all challenge sites we have rules and guidelines. We hope you will read and follow them, we have Oyster Stamps as our sponsor, and of course, a winner and runner up will be chosen each month. We may also have the occasional guest designer.

Challenge #2 - A Sea of Greens

Well, here at the Artful Times team we are completely overwhelmed with not just how many followers we have, but how many of you took the plunge and played along with our very first challenge, so a big thank you from us all for your support.  It really is appreciated because sometimes new ventures are really hard to get off the ground, but you have all done us really proud.

So on to this weeks challenge then.  If you know me, Sam, you'll probably realise that I've chosen this weeks theme, anything to do with 'green' and I'm there!!!  So I've decided to go with
'A sea of greens'
This basically translates to; you can create anything you wish, a tag, a card, an atc, a canvas, anything you like, as long as the background colours are predominately greens and shades there of.

So here's what the DT came up with.

Von created an ATC, for more background information hop along to her blog here

Neet created a shrine using Non Sequitur stamps. Distressed inks were used to create the background and the images were painted with Twinkling H2o's
And last but not least I made a 6" x 4" postcard.
The background was created using Dylusion spray inks and Adirondack colour washes in various shades of green, covered with scrunched up cling film and left to dry. Once dry the cling film was removed and green acrylic paint was added. See my blog for further information.

Don't forget to link up your entry with the linky tool.  Please also take the time to read the 'rules / guidelines' and if you are having any problems with the linky tool there are step by step instructions in the tabs at the top of the main page.

*** Unfortunately we are experiencing a few technical difficulties with our Linky tool and have had to remove it for now.  If you wish to link your entry, please leave the link in the comments - the challenge will close on Thursday 26 April at 6pm (Uk time) ***

Gorgeous DT creations, I'm afraid my we effort isn't so inspiring but I was determined to enter this week as I missed the first one. I've botched up the title, misunderstood what I was being asked for, but I'll do better next time :) Elizabeth x
